The Diploma in Early Childhood Education Melbourne qualification explores the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. By attending the Diploma of Early Childhood Education Melbourne programme, students will explore what is required of professionals aspiring to build a career within the field of early childhood education and care. Students can either attend the Diploma in Early Childhood Education Melbourne course in person, or attend the Early Childhood Diploma Online Melbourne programme instead.

Entry Requirements

Prospective students are required to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment and a Pre-Training Interview, administered by and to the satisfaction of ITHEA and be at least 18 years of age. You must have good word processing and email skills as well as the ability to download and upload documents and information. Please see our Online Service Standards.

Employment Growth

Once they graduate, students can access work that involves them in implementing an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. ITHEA is proud to announce established pathways for our Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care graduates. Successful students are able to enter Swinburne University of Technology courses either on campus or online through Swinburne Online, with academic credit awarded in recognition of their studies.
